Imagine the Concert On 12th October 2001
the Non-Violence Foundation will be staging
'Imagine the Concert'
at the 15,000 capacity Manchester Evening News Arena in England.
The concert, a tribute to John Lennon, is timed to coincide with the
30th anniversary of the UK release of
Lennon's groundbreaking album, 'Imagine'.
The concert will showcase Lennon's classic
songs being performed chronologically in front
of huge video screens showing archive footage
of Lennon and the era that his music shaped.
Alongside established 'megastars', the
show will feature credible young artists
who have been influenced by john Lennon's
life and work. Rob Hollingsworth,
the artist booker for the event,
specialises in booking line ups for

Hollingsworth comments:
"The accent will be on assembling a bill of
artists who are young, vibrant and credible
- worthy successors to Lennon himself.
They will come together to celebrate his music
and carry it forward into the 21st century.
The show will not be about history, but the here and now"
The beatles and john lennon were the most important,
biggest band ever The Imagine concert will be recorded for
international television and radio broadcast and
there will also be a live webcast.
The event will be promoted by
NVF
Productions Ltd.
The line up for the concert will be
announced at the end of June and tickets
will go on sale
shortly after.

Tickets will cost £20 plus booking fee and will
be available from the Manchester Evening
News Arena
